Third Cousins Media: Kobe vs. Lebron: The Winner Is: The Fan

I have been watching the production value of major media outlets for a long time. Since the Social Media movement has taking media production by storm, I have been telling anyone who would listen that you cannot over-produce web video. I can finally point to a major organization who understands this! The NBA is known as a marketing machine. The production value is normally very high. When it is too high, it loses it authenticity. Look at this video of the best two players in the game today. Since it is done in a authentic way, it comes across very good. Some of the lighting is bad, some the camera work is shaky but the clip is a three pointer! Tell me what you think

Grown Folks Nation: Living Legend: Jamaa Fanaka

I have had the priviledge of working with a Hollywood legend in my short media career. He wrote,produced and directed the cult favorite, Penitentiary series of films while still at UCLA Film School. The first installment  was the top grossing independent film of 1979 and 1980. I met Jamaa several years ago and we became fast friends. About a year ago, I brought him to Austin to teach a Master Director's Course. I month before the class, I was in LA and I invited him to a family BBQ. He came and blessed us with some amazing knowledge. Here is a piece of it!!
