These pictures are from our family Thanksgiving dinner! Dude in the blue shirt is my little brother. The other two are my first cousins. We went for the gangster pose on these. The only problem is I have NO gangster in me!! My younger family members still have to mean mug people almost daily. Not me! Although we all grew up in Long Beach California, I am what real gangster call - FRIENDLY. I kept smiling in the pictures. I wish you could have been there because it was very funny. Are you a real "OG" or a Facebook Gangster. Me - I am just friendly. I did stick my chest out on one of the pictures. The circles I run in need no MEAN MUG

If you have not been to a Eric Roberson concert, you do not know what you are missing! This was shot in Dallas the last time he was here. Eric has one of the most intimate live shows I have every seen. I enjoy his concerts as does the rest of the crowd. Let me know what you think

I have been watching the production value of major media outlets for a long time. Since the Social Media movement has taking media production by storm, I have been telling anyone who would listen that you cannot over-produce web video. I can finally point to a major organization who understands this! The NBA is known as a marketing machine. The production value is normally very high. When it is too high, it loses it authenticity. Look at this video of the best two players in the game today. Since it is done in a authentic way, it comes across very good. Some of the lighting is bad, some the camera work is shaky but the clip is a three pointer! Tell me what you think

One day last year my kids and I were cleaning up. It was kind of boring. NO it was very boring. I had just bought this new camera (Panasonic HVX-200) and wanted to test it out. Since it has a hugh learning curve, I figured I have some fun with it. The video is of us doing PYT by the late Michael Jackson. I found it last week while clearing space off my hard drive. This video proves that my household NEVER stopped playing MJ! We did not go out and buy all his records because we already had them. So look past the missing files and overexposure. I have had the priviledge of working with a Hollywood legend in my short media career. He wrote,produced and directed the cult favorite, Penitentiary series of films while still at UCLA Film School. The first installment  was the top grossing independent film of 1979 and 1980. I met Jamaa several years ago and we became fast friends. About a year ago, I brought him to Austin to teach a Master Director's Course. I month before the class, I was in LA and I invited him to a family BBQ. He came and blessed us with some amazing knowledge. Here is a piece of it!!

In August 2009, I traveled to Fayette, Alabama with my family. This is my father's side of the family. I never really enjoyed going to this family reunion when I was younger. I found out on this trip that it is not about the youth but about the rich stories of our elders. As the years pass by, family members pass away. I decided to document family members as a way to share with future generations. From this small clip, I have been inspired to do a documentary on my family to make sure that we preserve the stories and learn more about who we are. We learn this by knowing our family.
